How has congenital CMV impacted your life?
Author: Parent Perspective
The
CMV Public Healthy & Policy Conference is over a month away and, in preparations for this event, National CMV is helping to produce a display to conference attendees that will communicate the impact of congenital CMV, not just on children, but on their parents and families. We realize that countless families struggle to cope with a congenital CMV diagnosis in their child and will also, unfortunately, experience additional stress and difficulty both inside and outside of the family home. We would like to capture these thoughts and insights from those parents and family members who are willing to participate and to display them anonymously to help educate the public and professionals about the true impact of congenital CMV within the family and home. Likewise, we hope that these quotes will give comfort and strength to other families facing this challenge and will help further bond our community of families and supporters.
If you would like to participate and have your quote considered for anonymous posting at the CMV Public Health & Policy Conference, then please send your email to
stories@NationalCMV.org and tell us your thoughts about any or all of the following areas:
How has congenital CMV impacted your life:
- Emotionally?
- Financially?
- Interpersonally?
- Physically?
- Socially?
Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to a meaningful, impactful display of how congenital CMV changes the lives of those it touches.
