Tell us about your professional background.

I have worked in the broader energy sector for my entire career in an engineering, consulting, and now investment banking capacity.  I’ve been an investment banker since 2011 and currently focus on upstream oil & gas companies, providing financial and strategic advice to Boards and seniors management on corporate and asset level transactions. The work is dynamic, demanding, and very rewarding.

What makes the National CMV Foundation’s mission powerful for you?

The National CMV Foundation’s mission is critical as the prevalence versus awareness of this virus unfortunately strikes a horrific balance: Extremely prevalent, but woefully lacking in awareness. This has to change and the National CMV Foundation is the catalyst in the United States. For me personally, it is an incredibly powerful mission as my son, Leo, was affected by cCMV.

What does success look like to you?

I define success very simply as maximizing one’s potential while also achieving some level of harmony with the most important elements of everyday life.

What motivates you?

Anything that improves the quality of life for my family’s future. Personal success is motivating only in circumstances in which the benefits accrue to my family or friends either today or in the future.

What does true leadership mean to you?

I’m going to steal a quote from Stephen R. Covey, who I believe truly understood leadership: “Leadership is communicating others’ worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves.”

What book did you read last?

The Domino Effect by E. Russell Braziel

What is an ability you wish you had?

The ability to manipulate time, including time travel.

What do you like most about living in New York City?

What I like most about living in NYC is that the city has a certain energy that is contagious. And you can see or do just about anything, at just about any time of day.

Where would you most like to travel to?

Bermuda is one of the best places that I have ever visited. I would go back in a heartbeat. And Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany would also be great.

What’s your favorite 90’s jam?

Anything by Stone Temple Pilots, but particularly the Purple album.

You’re happiest when?

I’m spending time with my family.
